Private label for pharmacies: from idea to product range

Practical preparation for your product project.

Start with the intended use and customer

A pharmacy private label project starts with a specific need: organising daily routines, convenient travel or extending an accessories range. Define the customer group, sales channels and the product’s role in the range. A compact travel case may call for a different layout from a weekly organiser divided into days and times of day.

Compare models before customisation

Compare dimensions, material, compartment layout and opening mechanism. Review a sample for label readability, handling and compatibility with the planned packaging. Catalogue data supports the shortlist; final specifications and finishes should be confirmed for the ordered version.

Prepare the quotation inputs

Provide the model reference, quantity, colour variants, print and packaging format. Add the delivery country, deadline and target price if known. MOQ depends on the product and extent of customisation. Compare a standard model with colour, print and packaging options rather than assuming one minimum quantity for the entire range.

Agree documentation and responsibilities

Before launch, agree the intended use, required labels and documents, and each party’s responsibilities. Being sold in a pharmacy does not by itself determine whether a product is a medical device. Do not infer certification or a declaration of conformity solely from a photograph or category label.
